Michael came to see us after he’d sustained an injury to his front teeth. His upper right central incisor had been knocked back and this had fractured the root and severely damaged the bone around the root as well.

Unfortunately the tooth could not be saved and Michael chose to have a dental implant to replace it.

A bone graft was necessary to replace some of the missing bone around the damaged tooth. This was placed at the same time as the dental implant.

It was necessary to use a temporary crown until the gum tissues around the implant area healed.

Michael chose to whiten his teeth during this time.

Finally a new permanent crown was placed on the implant along with a porcelain veneer on the other front tooth which had also been damaged. Some composite resin bonding was also carried out on the upper lateral incisors to improve the appearance of these in the smile.

Amanda was congenitally missing all of her upper front adult teeth and had spent all of her adult life still with her baby teeth. She had spent may years visiting the dental teaching hospital for treatment to try to improve these. She came to us seeking advice on where she could go from here. Her lower front teeth and all of her back teeth were restored with composite resin and the baby teeth were removed and replaced with a permanent solution with adult sized teeth. Amanda was very pleased with the result and has now become a regular and keen member of the practice! Amanda was treated by Dr Chris Ibbott.

Claire presented to us wanting a cosmetic solution to her unsightly front teeth bridge. The bridge was completely out of proportion and had lots of tooth decay in the supporting roots.

After our hygienist treated the gum disease and with some home tooth whitening Claires dentition was stabilised. We removed the existing bridge and provided a stronger, functional more aesthetic replacement spanning 6 upper teeth.

She now is much more confident in smiling, talking and eating. Ready for lots of wedding photos in the near future!

Jamie was very unhappy with the appearance of his upper front teeth. He did not like the colour and was very conscious of the ‘gap’ where his canine tooth on the top right was way out of line making him look like he had a missing tooth.

First of all a removable orthodontic appliance was used to push the canine tooth back into position and then an Inman aligner was used to align the rest of the upper front teeth.

In-surgery power whitening as well as a home tooth whitening kit were used to lighten Jamies teeth. Finally composite resin bonding was used to improve the shape and outline of the front four teeth. The upper left canine teeth was build up with a direct composite resin veneer.

Jamie has said that his new smile has made him far more comfortable in his day to day dealings with clients.

Esther came to us looking for a way to improve the appearance of her crooked upper and lower front teeth. She was particularly unhappy with the top front teeth. She was interested in straightening the teeth but did not want fixed braces. First we used an upper Inman Aligner over 10 weeks to align her upper teeth and then a lower arch Inman Aligner with combined expander to correct the lower front four teeth, in 12 weeks. Following the alignment of the upper teeth some direct composite edge bonding was carried out to correct the final outline of the teeth.
